Marketing your Music

As a composer with My Score, you are the publisher of your works. Marketing your music is important to help boost your sales and increase performances! Here are a few suggestions that we have to help promote your music to the right audience.

Have a Social Media Presence


Social Media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest are great free resources to build a following and promote your works. 


Canva is a great resource to build marketing materials for your social media accounts and website. Canva allows for customization of the thousands of templates that they offer. You can use these templates to build out your brand and create a uniform look for all of your profiles.


Attend Clinics, Workshops, and Festivals


Meeting ensemble directors can help create meaningful connections that lead to unique and personal performance opportunities. The following festivals and organizations are great resources for meeting directors and learning about the needs of their ensembles - 


Midwest Clinic  - Band and Orchestra

American Choral Directors Association - Choral 

ASCAP  - Songwriters, Composers, Artists, and Publishers
